Google expands its list of Chromebooks that will support Android apps

A little under a year ago, Google announced it would introduce support for Android applications on at least 50 Chromebooks — but so far, it’s only reached six. However, it appears that the firm is going to take the rollout a little more seriously, as it has updated its compatibility list with more than 30 additional Chromebooks, including the Samsung Chromebook Pro.

We have to say, this entire endeavor has been a bit of a disappointment from the word go. Not only has Google been horrifically slow at expanding compatibility, but on the few units Android applications are available, they’re unusable at the best of times. Hopefully, Big G finds a way to improve the service before bringing it to the remaining devices.

Here’s the newly-updated list of Chromebooks that are set to receive support for Android applications in the future:
