Google Photos finally has a much requested update

Google Photos has received a much-requested update on the App Store, bringing users the facility to cast images from their iPad, iPhone or iPod to their Apple TV using AirPlay.

This upgrade brings Google Photos in line with Apple’s own Photos application, which has enjoyed the functionality ever since AirPlay debuted for iOS back in November 2010.

As a loyal Google Photos user, I’m especially pleased with the news as it means I’ll finally be able to display my extensive collection of memorable pictures on the big screen when I’m hosting a family gathering.

To grab the update…

If you’d like to install the update, open up the App Store on your iOS device, navigate into the dedicated Updates section, locate Google Photos, then press the Update button.
