You can now preorder the Xperia XA1 from Amazon and Best Buy, with more retail availability to come on May 1. The device retails for $299, and is offered unlocked.

The XA1 packs some impressive specs given how affordable it is. It features a MediaTek helio P20 Octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 23MP main camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 32GB of storage with microSD expandability and a 2,300mAh battery. Sony did make some sacrifices to keep the XA1’s price down, as seen in its 5-inch 720p display.

Sony kept the XA1’s design very familiar, using the same Xperia design touches that have been seen time and time again, like the circular home button on the left side and sizable front bezels. It will be available in four different colors: White, Black, Pink and Gold, and will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

The XA1’s camera does pack a few extra punches

The Xperia XA1’s 23MP camera features a 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor and what Sony is calling Hybrid Autofocus and Steadyshot for smooth video recording. The XA1 also comes with one feature most phones rarely come with now—a dedicated camera button.
