Kamiko is a $5 Switch game digital importers love, it’s coming west next week

For the last week or so, the internet’s been abuzz about one Nintendo Switch title that isn’t available beyond Japan. That game is Kamiko, and folks are describing it as a light blend of Zelda and Hyper Light Drifter.

This $5 title has only been available on the Japanese eShop. The good news is that all one has to do to get to it is make a Japanese account on their region-free Switch, buy some shop currency and pick it up. It’s an easy enough process, though not as easy as buying from the source in your home country.

Well, good news! Kamiko is coming west for $5.

It’s right around the corner, too

Kamiko will hit the North American Nintendo Switch eShop on April 27, 2017. That’s next Thursday. It’ll carry that $5 price tag, too.

Now, we’ve heard this game will only run players a couple hours, but it’s an enjoyable sprint over that span. Sounds good to me, and perfect for a train ride. We’ll have more on this one as it comes.
