Star Wars Battlefront II launches early for EA and Origin Access members

For the general public, Star Wars Battlefront II will sell on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17, 2017. For EA Access and Origin Access members on either the Xbox One or PC platforms? Bump that date up to November 9, 2017. This game, like other banner titles, will release early.

The word comes from the pre-order page for the title.

Get a head start on Star Wars Battlefront II

Try Star Wars Battlefront II starting November 9 when you join EA Access on Xbox One or Origin Access on PC. Your progress carries over to the full game if you decide to buy.

The site does not indicate how much of the game will be playable early. This may be just a few missions or maps, or it may be the entire Battlefront II experience.

Sorry, PS4 owners, you’re out in the cold

EA doesn’t offer a subscription program to PlayStation 4 owners. That’s not their fault. They tried to get that deal going with Sony, but the PlayStation house turned them down due to their choice to only offer one free game service, PS Plus. EA Access comes with free games in the Vault, after all.

Bogus, I know. There are a few titles that make EA Access absolutely worth it. EA Access and Origin Access sell for $29.99 per year or $4.99 per month.
