A new update has released for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for both the Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. This brings it up to version 1.1.2, and the official patch notes are just as ubiquitous as version 1.1.1.

The official notes read, “Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.” That’s it. Like before, no details on what improvements occurred or what tweaks were presented.

Fans have discovered, though, that the glitch that let players farm arrows has officially been removed. Here’s how the glitch worked.

Never used it, hate that it’s been patched away

Glitches and exploits give single player games shelf-life. I can remember pouring hundreds of hours into Ocarina of Time simply because I got so much enjoyment out of taking advantage of the game’s coding problems. If Nintendo had the ability and desire to patch those issues out way back then, I would have enjoyed the game less.

I don’t think companies should touch exploits in single player games. I think players should be encouraged to break the boundaries and figure things out for themselves. If they want to glitch and farm arrows, they can go nuts. It’s their game.

Just don’t do it in titles with a multiplayer component. That’s crap.
