Yooka-Laylee dropped from Windows 10, no longer in Play Anywhere intiative

Just days before it was scheduled to release, the Windows 10 version of Yooka-Laylee no longer seems to be ready. The April 11 launch date has been changed to “coming soon,” and likewise, it no longer appears in Microsoft’s Play Anywhere initiative.

For those who don’t know, this program grants anybody who buys an Xbox One game a free copy of the game through Windows 10 and vice versa. With no Windows 10 game available, the option has been withdrawn for Yooka-Laylee, at least for the time being.

Still plenty of platforms to choose from

It’s worth pointing out that the game is still coming to PC through Steam and the standard launches for PC, Mac, and Linux.

Yooka-Laylee also launches this week for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version of the game will be reaching us before the year is out, as well.
