Samsung has revealed that more people have pre-ordered the Galaxy S8 Plus in the United States than the regular Galaxy S8, with Midnight Black listed as the most popular color variant.
The company also confirmed that reservation numbers are “outpacing” the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, corroborating a recent report, which claimed the Galaxy S8 broke a pre-order record in South Korea.
There’s a good chance the record-breaking reservations for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus aren’t solely a result of them being great devices. A lot of orders likely came from former Galaxy Note 7 owners waiting for ‘the next big thing.’
The Galaxy S8 Plus is the better choice
In our opinion, the Galaxy S8 Plus is the better choice. Not only does it sport a larger 6.2-inch Infinity Display, but it also has a beefier 3,500mAh battery.
Aside from these components, the Galaxy S8 Plus is identical to the regular Galaxy S8, so it packs an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, a 12MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP selfie shooter.
