Android Wear 2.0 update to start making the rounds again this week

It would appear that Google’s patched the bug it uncovered in Android Wear 2.0 last month, as LG has announced that it’ll start rolling out the firmware for the G Watch R and Watch Urbane this week.

The South Korean company also revealed that the upgrade will make its way to the second-generation Watch Urbane at “the beginning of May.” We know, we know — it’s a little strange the original variant is receiving the update before its successor.

“#LGWatchR and #LGWatchUrbane will start update this week and #LGWatchUrbane2ndEdition will follow in the beginning of May,” writes LG in a post on Google+.

So, what does Android Wear 2.0 bring to the table?

Well, it bundles a ton of new features, including a more refined UI for better navigation, Google Assistant, compatibility for standalone applications and improved battery life (hurrah!).
