According to Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, the company has finally found a way to fix the frustrating touch latency bug that’s been plaguing OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T owners for months.

Unfortunately, it’s unclear when the patch will start making the rounds. Although, we expect it to arrive sooner rather than later, as customers have been (understandably) frustrated by how long it’s taken the firm to fix the glitch.

So, what’s next for OnePlus? Well, Pei revealed in a tweet that it’s turning its attention towards the Alert Slider. For those unaware, that’s the hardware switch that allows users to change their notification settings without having to delve through multiple menus.

Ever since the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T hit the shelves, users have been asking for more control over the button and, as noted by 9to5Google, there’s a good chance that’s what OnePlus is working on.

We’d also like to see an Auto DND feature and full-screen Caller ID baked into the upgrade when it eventually arrives — but we’re not going to shoot this gift horse in the mouth.
