Samsung has listed a variant of the Galaxy S8 Plus with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on its online store in South Korea. Strangely, the firm has left the most important detail out of the listing — the handset’s price. However, a recent report suggests that it’ll cost a little north of $1,000.
There’s no denying the fact that a thousand bucks is a lot of money to shell out for a smartphone, and Samsung agrees. In an effort to encourage customers in the region to pick one up, the company has revealed it’ll be awarding all customers who pre-order this particular variant a complimentary DeX docking station (worth $150).
We don’t know exactly when pre-orders will go live
At this precise moment in time, pre-orders are still yet to open and we don’t know exactly when they’ll go live. But when they do, those wanting to reserve a unit will be able to do so through LG U+, KT, SK Telecom and, of course, Samsung’s online store. A handful of local third-party retailers are also expected to participate.
