Apple has today listed a PRODUCT(RED) variant of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on its online store. The Cupertino company and non-profit organization (RED) have been working together to release special edition products for the past 10 years, but this is the first time an iPhone has been brought into the fold.
“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
Identical to the regular models
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (Product)RED Special Edition will be available to purchase in 128GB and 256GB models, with pricing starting at $749 when pre-orders kick off online worldwide and in stores on Friday, March 24. It’s also worth mentioning that with regards to specifications, these variants are identical to the regular models.
