Later this year, Xiaomi is expected to launch its flagship smartphone of 2017, the Mi6, and now thanks to a leaked screenshot, it looks like we have some more information about its specifications.
The image, which was uploaded to Chinese social networking website Weibo, reveals that the handset may sport a 2.7GHz octa-core CPU, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It could also ship running Android 7.0 Nougat.
Recent rumors point towards Xiaomi releasing three variants — Lite, Regular and Premium — of the Mi6, leading us to suspect that this screenshot pertains to the latter, which is said to have a ceramic body and be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor.
Whereas, the Lite and Regular models are believed to pack a Snapdragon 821 and a MediaTek Helio X30 CPU, respectively. In addition, both may sport 4GB of RAM and have a dual rear-facing camera configuration.
Relatively easy to falsify
However, it should go without saying that screenshots, like the one we’re seeing today, are relatively easy to falsify — so this latest leak needs to be taken with a considerable… Actually, scrap that. Hefty pinch of salt.
