Here’s Mass Effect: Andromeda’s download size on PS4 and Xbox One

How much console space will you need to free up in order to venture into an entirely new galaxy in Mass Effect: Andromeda? Around 42GB, apparently. Pretty standard for modern gaming conventions.

Pre-load is available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, and folks are downloading the title likely as I bang out this post. Here’s how both consoles break down.

  • PlayStation 4 file size: 42.9GB
  • Xbox One file size: 42.19GB

This doesn’t include any day-one patches

There will be a day-one patch for Mass Effect: Andromeda; obviously, these pre-download sizes don’t include that number. If I were you, I’d clear 50GB of space on my console for the game to allow for any larger file sizes.

The PC preload isn’t live yet.

Mass Effect: Andromeda launches for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 21, 2017.
