It’s now easier than ever to find HomeKit-compatible devices

If you’re looking to spruce up your home with some HomeKit-compatible devices — like a thermostat that can be controlled from your Apple TV, iPad or iPhone, for example — you’re in luck, as Apple has updated its website with a fresh, more organized list of gadgets that work with its framework.

As opposed to separating all of the accessories by brand (which is very difficult to navigate), the new directory breaks them down into 15 categories — lights, switches, outlets, thermostats, windows, fans, air conditioners, sensors, security, locks, cameras, doorbells, garage doors, bridges, and range extenders.

Most of the products aren’t available on Apple’s website

Seeing as you can’t actually purchase most of the devices from Apple’s website, the firm has included links to their off-site product pages, together with availability information. Unfortunately, it’s left out all pricing details, so if you’re on a budget, you’ll need to click on every link to identify offerings that fall into your price range.
