Earlier this week, one of the “behind the scenes” videos relating to Overwatch went up on Vimeo from a Blizzard dev.
Blizzard Animator David Gibson shared the video of the work he spent to animate one of Mei’s highlight intros. You know, the something like five seconds of clever, hero-specific goodness that’s awarded to a Play of the Match? That took Gibson four days. Here’s the clip, sped up.
Painstaking, right? Of course, Gibson isn’t the only person who made that Mei intro happen. There’s lots, lots, lots more that goes into each and every piece of a video game. Gibson took a moment to give a nod to those who had a hand in this on his Vimeo description, so we’re doing the same.
