LeEco announced this week that it’s going to start rolling out a major software update to the Le Pro3 and the Le S3. The update addresses a lot of user concerns and makes some pretty drastic user interface changes.

Chief among those changes is the addition of a true app drawer. “Based on user feedback, a key feature you’ll find in this update is the addition of an app drawer. You can now access your full suite of apps in a standard Android experience,” the company said. “You’ll find the app drawer in the apps dock, just above the “home” button. We moved the Live entertainment app icon to the right of the new app drawer icon. And, you can move the Live entertainment app icon anywhere on your homescreen, you have full control over your UI experience.”

Other changes

LeEco said it also improved the camera experience on both phones. Le S3 owners should see big changes in low-light situations, and the Le Pro3 received updated HDR functionality. The update also delivers improved Bluetooth/WiFi connectivity, improved LIVE apps and streaming quality, new parental control functions, improvements to the fingerprint sensor and more.
