Final Fantasy XV‘s first DLC expansion is roughly a month away, and Square Enix is finally spilling the details on the story and the pricing. A brand new description from the official website updates fans on Gladio’s secret mission.

Gladio, one of the three faithful comrades who accompany Noctis on his journey will become a playable character for the very first time in his own episode with a completely different type of gameplay and an all-new story.

Picking up from the events from the group’s encounter with Ravus, Gladio leaves the group to train alongside Cor and become even more powerful. He sets on a path to face challenges by encountering larger than life monsters along the way.

Episode Gladiolus will be available by itself for $4.99 and is included for Season Pass owners.

Yup, an entirely new chapter for just $4.99 for those who don’t have a season pass. I didn’t think Square Enix was going to lowball it to that point, so consider me shocked that we’re getting such a good deal out of it.

Time to get back on the road!

I’ve taken a break from touring around with Noctis and his friends to play several of the other early hits this year. The timing of this release, on March 28, is just perfect to pull me back in. Maybe I’ll be past the fourth mission in Nioh at that point… not likely, though.

“FFXV Episode Gladiolus” launches on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 28. “FFXV Episode Ignis,” “FFXV Episode Prompto,” and “FFXV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades” are expected to follow over the course of the year.
