Samsung isn’t expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress in a few days, but the company will still be at the show. So, what can we expect? According to a freshly leaked press render, it looks like Samsung is gearing up to unveil a powerful new tablet.
As the picture suggests, Samsung’s tablet will be aimed at productivity, similar to previous slates from the company. Also similar to Samsung devices of the past, the supposed Galaxy Tab S3 will sport capacitive buttons and the familiar oval home button, which will likely double as a fingerprint reader.

Over the past few weeks, the Galaxy Tab S3 has popped up on numerous occasions, suggesting its arrival is indeed imminent. Internally, the device is rumored to sport a 9.6-inch AMOLED display (with a 4:3 aspect ratio), Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB or 128GB of storage.
It’s just a normal tablet
Combined with the (probably optional) keyboard, the Galaxy Tab S3 sounds like every other tablet ever created. It’s unclear what other features the device will introduce to differentiate itself. At this point, Android tablets aren’t exactly in demand, so it may not even matter.
Samsung recently announced new Chromebooks, which makes the arrival of the Tab S3 even more curious. We’ll learn more when MWC officially begins this Sunday.
