Free 256GB microSD card gifted to new Galaxy S7, S7 Edge buyers

Samsung is sweetening the deal if you buy a new Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge by tossing in a free 256GB microSD card. With the standard 32GB of onboard storage and that combined, you’re looking at a total of 288GB of free space for movies, music, games and more. Not bad.

The deal applies to new Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones purchased between yesterday, February 8, and February 14 while supplies last. It doesn’t appear to matter which carrier you choose to buy your phone from, or if you buy it direct from Samsung, so long as it’s a new and verified purchase.

Samsung often gives away products, especially microSD cards or Gear VR headsets, to help sell its smartphones. It offered a similar promotion when it launched the Galaxy Note 7. Keep in mind, however, that Samsung is probably trying to woo buyers to its current devices to help cut inventory ahead of the Galaxy S8 launch.

Galaxy S8 coming soon

The Galaxy S8 is expected to make its debut as soon as April. I suggest most folks wait until then. First, the Galaxy S8 is going to be a better phone. Second, I expect the price of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge to drop after the Galaxy S8 makes its debut. Find the details at the source below.
