There’s a new gameplay video available for Breath of the Wild. It features a mix of cutscenes, shots of the new Zelda, bosses, horseback riding and lots of open space views.
Here’s the video:
What’s up with the sound? Where’s the music?
As great as the clip is, it’s odd how Nintendo’s laid out the sound. Well, there’s a reason for that! This clip actually comes from the fantastic Japanese site for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Here’s the link to that site. On the right, you’ll notice that there are boxes to select different background videos. The same music plays over the videos, and that explains why this new one features odd spots of silence.
The site itself is so good that I wind up leaving it open whenever I go to it. After selecting a video that features lots of the nature type sound effects, I’ll set it aside in one tab, and then I’ll work in others. It makes me want The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s soundtrack just as much as I want the game. Well, maybe not that much.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will sell for both the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U on March 3, 2017.
