Motorola just announced a press conference for February 26, 2017 during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This is where we expect the Lenovo-owned company to unveil a couple of new devices.
Chief among those is the rumored Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, two new Android smartphones that have been circling around the rumor mill for the past several months. Rumors had suggested that Motorola was going to use the stage at MWC to unveil the devices, but we didn’t have any confirmation of that until now.
Motorola’s invite doesn’t tease anything and simply asks press to save the date and RSVP for the event. Word on the street is we’re looking at some relatively mid-range (though likely affordable) devices with Snapdragon 625 processors, up to 4GB of RAM, Android 7.0 out of the box and more. We’ll find out on February 26.
