A site named MobileFun recently listed a bunch of cases that it’ll presumably sell when Samsung launches the Galaxy S8 in the next couple of months. The site’s pages, spotted by PhoneArena, may reveal a couple of new secrets.
First, until now, we presumed Samsung was going to continue with the Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8 Edge monikers, the former representing the standard model and the latter representing the curved display larger model. Instead, Samsung may adopt the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus names. That could signify that both the smaller and larger model have curved displays, since we’re confident at least one model will adopt the feature and neither has the “edge” in its name.
New Galaxy S8 color?
Additionally, PhoneArena noticed that cases which likely align with the colors of the phone, since Samsung doesn’t usually sell cases that clash with its devices, show Black, Silver, Gold, Pink, Blue, Mint and Violet color options. We’ve seen all of those with earlier Galaxy devices, but Violet would be a fun new color option, and Mint sounds like it would repleace the earlier “emerald” hue.
Samsung is going to tease the Galaxy S8 during Mobile World Congress, according to recent rumors, but may not unveil the device until March or April.
