Big PlayStation Sales are dedicated to Rockstar, anime, and VR

You can drink from three different poisons this week on the PlayStation Store. Where will you throw your hard money on these three separate sales? It’s all up to you.

The first is all about Rockstar, and you have a choice of no less than eight different ways to purchase Grand Theft Auto V. You know, just in case you haven’t dropped enough dollars on it yet. The basic game is $29.99 on the PlayStation 4 and $19.99 on the PlayStation 3.

This sale also offers all three PS4 ports of the PlayStation 2 Grand Theft Auto games, Bully, Max Payne, Manhunt, and Red Dead Revolver. All great games, all dirt cheap.

The second sale is totally anime based, and by that, I mean licensed anime games. I was hoping that I could find some goofy JRPGs that look like anime, but it’s all One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and Sword Art Online. Luckily, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, both the first and second game, are really quality titles that fans of the series should check out.

Bandai Namco also slipped in PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+ in this sale. It’s not an anime, but what the heck? It’s the best game on here!

A PlayStation VR sale without REZ is missing something

In the PlayStation Plus Specials, you’ll find a host of virtual reality games waiting for you, but the biggest glaring omission is REZ Infinite. I haven’t played any of these others in VR, but even if I owned the headset, I’d be lost in REZ’s hypnotic charm too much to care about anything else.

Still, lots of cheap VR games to go around, so check them out as well.
