Samsung has begun issuing invites for a Mobile World Congress press event on February 26. The South Korean company is expected to announce its next-generation Galaxy Tab S3, but as we already know, the much-anticipated Galaxy S8 won’t be present.
Samsung’s event kicks off at 7 p.m. local time at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya in Barcelona. It’s a smaller venue than the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona, where Samsung has held its Galaxy S unveilings in recent years.
This suggests that the company’s new product won’t be quite as big as its next flagship smartphone, but with 2,000 seats available, there will be plenty of room for the press. It’s thought Samsung will be using the event to announce the Galaxy Tab S3.
According to a recent report, the new tablet will boast a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM, optional LTE connectivity, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 9.6-inch display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution. It’s also expected to come with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed.
TechnoBuffalo will be at MWC this year, so we’ll be bringing you the latest from Samsung’s event as soon as it breaks.
