More Final Fantasy makes Ron Duwell very happy! Speaking with Famitsu, Final Fantasy Brand Producer Shinji Hashimoto said that more games from the legendary series are on the way.
Yup, that’s it. That’s all I need to know. My life can continue as normal. When asked about future titles, Hashimoto has this to say:
Of course we have new titles in production. This event was a starting ceremony for the 30th anniversary, an ‘opening ceremony,’ so to speak. From here on out, we’re working on various projects. Not only limited to home console games, we’re preparing some announcements.
Of course, there are new Final Fantasy games in development
At six million copies, Final Fantasy XV is the hit that Square Enix needed to justify the continued existence of the long-running series. Fans are hungry for more, and Final Fantasy XV proves just that. Add in three successful free-to-play games and the continued success of Final Fantasy XIV Online, and the world just can’t seem to get enough Final Fantasy these days.
Or, at least, I can’t.
The big question now is whether or not we get an Avengers crossover. Oh man, with Square Enix landing the license from Disney just recently, who knows the possibilities?! Iron Man pops up in Lucis for a timed event and fights the Magitek army. How cool would that be?
