Nintendo Switch games have sexy case design in Japan

Japanese Nintendo Switch cases are already on the shelves in retail stores, and the public can now check out what each games’ packaging will look like leading up into pre-orders and launch.

Twitter user Gaijinhunter, who often frequents Japan’s video game stores, has uploaded groups of images showing off what the Switch game cases will look like. They are comparable in size to standard PSP cases, coming up both slightly thinner and smaller by comparison.

What will no doubt leap out to most gamers’ eyes is the artwork on the inside of the box, meaning that every time you open a case, Link’s beautifully drawn face or the I Am Setsuna gang will be there to greet you.

Art inside of a transparent case has always been a big hit with gamers, and Nintendo has done a fine job securing that in the packaging of its games…

In Japan, at least…

Take these images with a little bit of caution. These are what the games will look like in Japan, but we have no confirmation of what the North American packaging will be. Stay tuned as those images are sure to come in the next month.

The Nintendo Switch launches on March 3, 2017.
