The Legend of Zelda series getting a 30 percent discount for two weeks in Europe

Man, talk about lucky! European Nintendo fans will soon have access to every single Legend of Zelda game available on both Nintendo eShops at a discounted price. As confirmed by series producer Eiji Aonuma, every game in the venerated series will be slashed 30 percent off from Jan. 26 until Feb. 9.

The sale is to get players excited for the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on March 3. Hopefully, it also gets the youngest generation and newcomers up to speed!

All DLC for Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends will also be available for 30 percent off throughout the same period.

Sorry, but region-locking hasn’t kicked in just yet

I’d be jealous if I didn’t already own all of them anyway. Even if I didn’t, I’d still be wary because we have no idea if these purchases would even carry over onto the Nintendo Switch.

Just a friendly reminder that the Wii U is still region-locked, and the North American Nintendo 3DS can’t access the European or Japanese eShops. The Nintendo Switch will reportedly not region-lock its online eShops, and gamers will be able to enjoy international Nintendo products for the first time on a home console.

Don’t worry Nintendo fans, the dark ages are almost over!
