Justice League team unites for battle in stylish new photo

At the end of Batman v Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman said he would convince the other known metahumans to unite, and it looks like he succeeded. In a new photo shared by USA Today, the Justice League (sans Superman) looks primed and ready for battle.

We’ve seen the different members appears on-screen separately, so it’s cool to finally see the whole crew together. Cyborg (Ray Fisher) looks absolutely badass, while Ben Affleck’s Batman looks bigger than ever. Not to mix properties, but he reminds me a lot of the Super Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze.

“It was all about the filling-out of this massive movie comic-book pantheon with the biggest and coolest heroes we could,” Justice League director Zack Snyder told USA Today.

Here’s the movie’s official synopsis, which describes Batman and Wonder Woman’s efforts to unite the Justice League:

Months after the events of Batman v Superman, inspired by Superman’s sacrifice for humanity, Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince assemble a team of metahumans to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and the Parademons who are on the hunt for three Mother Boxes on Earth.

We’ve already seen a lot of footage, but no official trailer

Filming for Justice League wrapped back in October of last year, which means the finishing touches are being put on the movie as we speak. With that, we will likely see a trailer for the film fairly soon seeing as it’s releasing in ten months.

Zack Snyder showed off a lot of footage in a special Comic-Con video last summer, so there’s already plenty to mull over. But nothing beats an actual trailer, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for that. In the meantime, you can check out the earlier footage in the video above.

Justice League is scheduled for a release on Nov. 17, 2017. Before that, Wonder Woman will make her solo debut on June 2.
