Crashmo was bound for the Wii U, but it’s been cancelled according to rumor

I love, love, love Crashmo and Pushmo. I loved the series on the Nintendo 3DS, where it got its start, and I really liked Pushmo World on the Wii U.

This is a physics-based, block-sliding puzzle game with a cute and whimsical exterior. It’s made by Intelligent Systems and a Nintendo IP. It is fantastic.

A sequel to Crashmo was, according to leaker and insider Liam Robertson, supposedly bound for the Wii U. It would be like Pushmo World, only Crashmo World.

The game supposedly started in development in 2015. Robertson has it that Crashmo World was to be their last Wii U release as the rest of the studio worked on Switch games. Robertson’s sources say that the studio itself decided to scrap the Wii U game in favor of other projects on the Switch. This game from IS, not Nintendo.

Robertson offers that the game currently shows no signs of a revival.

Bring the series to the Nintendo Switch, please

I recognize that Crashmo and Pushmo likely don’t make big bucks for either Nintendo or Intelligent Systems. I just hope that their relative success is enough to keep them alive. I love this franchise, and I want to see it continue into Nintendo’s next generation.
