Video shows off ‘Jet White’ iPhone 7/7 Plus backs – Probably not the real thing

What is this? Are my eyes deceiving me? Is that a white iPhone 7? Noted parts leaker, Sonny Dickson, posted a video on Twitter showing off some backplates he has received.

However, I have more questions now after watching the video. Where is the iPhone 7’s Apple logo? Wouldn’t the timing of this be all wrong if indeed the next iteration of the iPhone is supposed to take a more drastic design change? Could these have been for a color option that just panned out? Could these just be a third party fix for a more custom look? It isn’t hard to find a replacement back on the Internet with different color customizations.

The folks at ColorWare even chimed in to discuss the familiar look.

New iPhone color?

For a moment let’s say these are real (they’re probably not), if they were I’d be all over an all-white iPhone 7. They look so clean and it kind of makes me miss my old, white iPod.

What do you think? What do you make of these backplates? Real iPhone 7 parts, mockups, or 3rd party? So many questions.
