The Game Awards nominees are on sale across all platforms

The biggest games of the year were honored last night at The Game Awards, and while only one game can take home the grand prize, gamers can take them all home at a discounted price! PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam, and even Nintendo eShop have dropped the prices on all of the nominees to celebrate their success.

There’s a lot to chew on here. A lot of my favorite games of the year sailed under the radar, unfortunately, but several of them have made the cut. Hyper Light Drifter, Stardew Valley, and DOOM can all be picked up cheaply. Plus, I love seeing REZ Infinite both on sale and being nominated for a modern day award show. That just makes me all tingly inside.

Sony forgot to upload Dragon Quest Builders, though, which is indeed nominated under the Best Family Game category.

What’s up with Nintendo’s sale?

Nintendo has a lot of weird games up for sale, mostly from The Legend of Zelda. While I doubt the NES classic was ever bound to win any awards in 2016, Nintendo did show off gameplay for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Strike while the iron is hot and get caught up on the series if you need to.

Nintendo also wouldn’t discount Fire Emblem Conquest so soon into its lifetime, but Fire Emblem Fates is there for the taking.

Plenty of sales, congrats to the winners. Do yourself a favor and buy both Hyper Light Drifter and Stardew Valley.
