Ambitious player beats Pokémon Sun and Moon with a Magikarp

Gamers always find a way, no matter how unlikely the challenge. While the authenticity of this claim has been thrown into question by doubters, a Japanese Pokémon Sun and Moon player named Nakano-san claims on Twitter that he beat the entire game and entered his Hall of Fame with just a level 70 Magikarp at his side.

How did he accomplish such a feat, even with just the Flail move in his Magikarp’s moveset? Well, he loaded up on healing items, kept his Magikarp at full strength, let the enemy run out of PP, and watch as they killed themselves with Struggle. What a hilarious strategy!

When it came to ghosts-type Pokémon, he would push his Magikarp to run out of Flail PP and use the Struggle ability. Since it is not actually a Normal attack, it can harm ghost-type enemies.

That’s certainly one way to get into the Hall of Fame

Expensive, time-consuming, and not altogether efficient, but hey, have you ever done it? I don’t think so! I mean, is this strategy in any way even fun to play?

Give the guy some props for suffering through so many repetitive battles like that. I don’t think I would make it two hours!
