Microsoft is shipping Studio Surface orders early

Microsoft has begun shipping Studio Surface orders weeks early, and it is now emailing customers to let them know they’re on their way. The $3,000 all-in-one was originally scheduled to ship in mid-December, but Christmas is coming early for some.

Not only is Microsoft shipping Studio Surface early to impress those customers, but it has also set up a dedicated support line that they can use if they run into any technical problems. Each Surface Studio user gets their very own support number.

“Your Surface Studio is about to arrive,” reads the email Microsoft sent out to early pre-order customers from Surface head Panos Panay. “Our team worked relentlessly to reinvent your desktop, and we want your first experience with Surface Studio to be absolutely perfect.”

“If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please reach out to our team using this special number created just for you.”

Each machine also ships with a little booklet that thanks customers for purchasing the Surface Studio, Microsoft’s first desktop with a giant touchscreen that folds down onto your desk. It’s also packing great specifications, like GeForce 980M graphics and a 2TB hybrid drive.

Microsoft is still taking pre-orders for the Surface Studio, however, as things stand, you’ll be waiting until early 2017 for delivery.
