Terry Crews is a lot of things. Actor, husband, father, comedian, singer. We learned earlier this year that he’s also a PC gamer. Now, he wants to voice Overwatch‘s next hero.

Overwatch‘s hacker, Sombra, debuted just over a week ago, but speculation has already begun on the next hero destined to join the game: Doomfist. If you’ve been paying attention to Overwatch lore, you can see Doomfist all over the game. That original animated video from the game’s debut is centered around Doomfist’s gauntlet, and that gauntlet itself is the payload in the Numbani map. Banners about the history of Doomfist dot the map. While developer Blizzard hasn’t said a word about the next hero, the internet has decided that Doomfist is next, and is rallying around that.

A few days ago, a Reddit user posted about the idea of Crews playing the character, to which Crews himself responded, saying that he “would LOVE TO PLAY DOOMFIST.”

Terry Crews is down with Overwatch

It’s a good match. Crews’ comedy experience in not only television and film, but in commercials as well, show that he’s not only funny, but he can get the job done in the kind of short form that’s so important for Overwatch characters. He even posted last week, calling for gamers to cancel their plans to check out the recent Overwatch free weekend.

At this point, it’s up to Blizzard. After how much of a headache the Sombra ARG was, it seems unlikely Blizzard is going to hint at who its next hero is before they’re ready to formally announce it. But Blizzard, if you’re listening? You know what to do.
