Hideo Kojima

Last year, Hideo Kojima was unable to attend The Game Awards to receive his honors for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain due to contractual obligations with Konami. This year, host Geoff Keighley promises to rectify the controversy by giving him a belated award.

The Game Awards airs on Dec. 1 at 6pm PT/9pm EST.

Congratulations to Kojima for finally being free from the legal chains that held him back.
