EA bringing “one of its bigger games,” to Nintendo Switch, but won’t say which one

EA is being very cryptic about its initial support for the Nintendo Switch. Speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference, CFO Blake Jorgensen suggested that it will be bringing games to the console, but he wouldn’t say which one.

All we know is that it’s one of EA’s biggest.

In terms of Nintendo, in their announcement they announced that we’ll be supporting with a game or two on that new platform. We haven’t yet announced what game, but you should assume that it’s one of our bigger games we’ve been involved with.

Jorgenson also wouldn’t yet speculate on whether it will become a success or not.

We’re excited for Nintendo, it’s an interesting device, but I can’t yet predict how broad it’s going to be, and will people be interested in a portable device alongside their regular portable device that they have.

Which EA game could possibly come to the Switch

The game EA chooses will most likely represent what it thinks the Nintendo audience would want. My guess is that Star Wars Battlefront has more of a chance than Battlefield. However, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare. Whatever it is, it’s going to be a port of an older game because EA doesn’t want to build a new game from the ground up without knowing if it will be a success or not.

There’s no telling what EA thinks about the Switch just yet because it hasn’t had much interaction with Nintendo over the last few years. All we can do is speculate for now.
