Amazon now delivers Morrisons groceries in 1 hour in the U.K.

Amazon has teamed up with British supermarket chain Morrisons to deliver your grocery shopping in just one hour. It’s part of the retail giant’s Prime Now service, and it comes at the usual price of £6.99 (approx. $8.70) per delivery.

Amazon first joined forces with Morrisons back in February, adding more than 4,000 of the supermarket’s grocery goods to Amazon Pantry for next-day delivery. Now those living in Prime Now locations — London and Hertfordshire — can get their shopping in just one hour.

Orders can be placed using the Prime Now app for Android and iOS, which now boasts a dedicated Morrisons section, just a week after Amazon added pharmacist John Bell & Croyden and wine seller Spirited Wines.

One-hour deliveries are charged at £6.99 — the usual rate for Prime Now — but you can select a two-hour time slot between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. for free if you don’t mind waiting just a little bit longer.

Amazon is now seen as a major rival to British supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsbury’s — especially now that it offers same-day delivery throughout London. However, Morrisons is one partner that will be delighted by the company’s focus on Prime Now in the U.K.
