Happy Friday! Why not mark the end of the week with three new clips for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story?
The video above is the 30-second TV spot titled “Hope.”
The second and third come in international form. Our own Brandon Russell covered the first international trailer, embedded next, and the third dropped today as well. Each seems made largely from footage that’s already out in the wild.
Three trailers show three sides of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
The “Hope” clips is short, albeit poignant. Our heroes use hope to build their rebellion. The second international trailer pushes information about Lord Vader, while the third seems focused on the Rebels themselves.
I dug all three.
In fact, the only thing giving me pause here might wind up so stupid and minor that it doesn’t matter. What’s with the Kung Fu? I get that Star Wars, especially the prequels, features some acrobatic fighting, but the combat shown by the stereotypically Kung Fu-themed Jedi feels out of place in a galaxy far, far away.
Again, it’s a stupid minor thing, and I get that. I point it out because that minor snag is the only thing giving me a problem. Otherwise? Rogue One looks exceptional.
