Bastion coming to the Xbox One next month, Xbox 360 owners get it for free

Supergiant Games’ indie hit Bastion will finally be arriving on the Xbox One next month. Fans will be able to purchase it on Dec. 12, but those who already own the game need not worry. Supergiant will honor their previous generation purchase for a little while.

Gamers who already own the game on the Xbox 360 will be able to download this new version for free, but the offer only lasts until Jan. 1. After that date, they’ll have to spend the same $14.99 that everyone else does. If you own the game, there is no reason not to fire it up and download. Be prepared to do so on Dec. 12.

Just to point out, this is not a backwards-compatibility offer, either. This brand new version now runs in 1080p, and it comes with the Stranger’s Dream DLC and a whole new list of achievements.

Bastion comes to the Xbox One on Dec. 12.
