What update is Pokémon GO getting next?
We’ve come a long way since the early launch of Pokémon GO when gamers were angry about the updates or lack thereof. Pokémon GO has seen vast improvements with the addition of the buddy system, catch bonuses, a much more stable performance, and the recent Halloween event that got me playing all over again. Of course, we’re still lacking important tracking features, and I have a feeling those won’t ever be coming. It’s pretty easy to catch Pokémon now. Niantic doesn’t want its game to be too easy.
I’m not so sure we’ve reached the point where Pokémon GO will add trading, so I think the next update should focus on giving gyms more of a purpose. I look around at all the Dragonites out there, and with the pitiful experience I get from beating them, I just wonder “Why bother?”
There isn’t enough incentive to go out there and conquer gyms other than for bragging rights, and that’s the lowest need on my priority list.
