Samsung’s popular Galaxy S7 edge will be available in gorgeous Blue Coral before the end of 2016. Samsung will be hoping the new color option can boost sales of its Galaxy S7 series now that the Galaxy Note 7 has been recalled and discontinued for good.
Blue Coral, which combines bright blue glass with a gold frame, proved to be an incredibly popular color option for Galaxy Note 7 buyers. When the flagship phablet was killed last month, Blue Coral went with it — but now it’s coming back.
Samsung has confirmed the new color option will be available on major carriers in the U.S. before the end of the year. There’s no word on whether it will also make its way to other markets later, but it’s likely Samsung will be keen to make it more widely available.
Samsung’s best phone right now
The Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge is identical to the original internally, so you get a 5.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It also boasts Samsung’s best smartphone camera to date.
With the Note 7 gone, the S7 edge is the best smartphone you can get from Samsung right now — and one of the best devices of 2016.
