After showing off a concept racecar at CES earlier this year, we haven’t seen or heard much from Faraday Future. But the Tesla competitor has been toiling away and there’s a new video to prove it.
The automaker this week released a video of a crossover SUV racing through the desert, although the actual car isn’t fully revealed. Instead, the vehicle is wrapped up in a material as to not reveal the design.
But at least it drives.
Really, the video is nothing more than Faraday Future reminding people that it’s still around.
Can Faraday Future compete with Tesla?
A spokesperson for Faraday Future told The Verge that the video is meant to showcase the high performance of its prototype, and promised more would be revealed in the run-up to CES early next year.
Faraday Future is secretive startup based in California that’s focused on the development of electric vehicles. One of its biggest financial backers happens to be LeEco, which just last week held a major event in the U.S.
