Pack your bags – we’re going to the Rapture. At least, those of us with a PlayStation Plus subscription are.
Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus games for November, with 2015’s Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture headlining alongside The Deadly Tower of Monsters. In addition to those titles, users can expect Dirt 3 and Costume Quest 2 on PlayStation 3, and Letter Quest Remastered and Pumped BMX+ on Vita, both with PlayStation 4 cross-buy.
This is a low-key month.
After a pretty strong month that included the action-heavy Lords of the Fallen and the critically acclaimed Journey, this is a much quieter month for Sony. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is a gorgeous game and worth checking out, but it isn’t the typical fare gamers are looking for. The game is set in a small, deserted town in England in the 1980s, and as the sole person left, your goal is to figure out why the town seems to have disappeared so suddenly.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters is a campy overhead-brawler set in a sci-fi B-movie, and it definitely isn’t the sort of AAA-style games people hope for each month.
While I’d like to see some bigger games next month, I hope PlayStation Plus subscribers will take this as an opportunity to check out Rapture and see what they missed.
