I’ve already reviewed World of Final Fantasy, but that hasn’t stopped me from playing it. In this busy season, when I barely have enough time to stop and enjoy a game after I’m done reviewing it, I find it a miracle when I can squeeze in a few extra minutes to play the ones I genuinely like. World of Final Fantasy is that game right now, and even though I am but a fraction of the way in, it has me entranced.
I know that when I cross the finish line after all of this year’s releases, it’ll be there waiting for me as my review. In the meantime, here is a sweet new launch trailer! It sets the tone perfectly and should be enough to sell you on the game if my assurances are not enough.
ATB is back, and so is Final Fantasy for that matter
Final Fantasy fans have had to put up with a lot over the last decade, but let’s let 2016 be the year we put that all behind us and start over again. World of Final Fantasy is the perfect game to get us started on the right foot, and it even brings back the classic ATB battle system!
Players will lead twin siblings, Reynn and Lann, on their journey through the mysterious world of Grymoire. On a search to rediscover their lost memories, the heroes will encounter over 200 unique and wonderful creatures, known as Mirages, and a whole host of legendary FINAL FANTASY characters. Players can capture, customize and evolve their Mirages – strategically stacking to defeat even the most ferocious of foes.
World of Final Fantasy is available now for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Will it ultimately be better than Final Fantasy XV? Well, we’ll have to wait and see!
