Microsoft on Wednesday announced new virtual reality headset accessories that will cost as little as $299. The new accessories will be made by HP, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS and Acer.

Microsoft users are able to create content and share with others either on a traditional PC experience or in a VR world. The new headsets will be first headsets to have 6 degrees of freedom sensors, leaving you no need for a separate room or set up.

Democratized VR

While other Virtual Reality rigs may set you back a minimum of $500 for a headset, these new VR accessories from Microsoft partners will start at just $299 without the need for a separate room. So more people can explore and afford VR in their homes.
