Player discovers instant boss kill method in Zelda: Wind Waker

I’ve played through The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker a few times in my life, most recently the HD version of the game on the Wii U. This strategy? It’s totally new to me.

Kalle Demos is the odd plant boss that hangs from the ceiling in Wind Waker. You’re supposed to get him down with your boomerang and then deal sword strikes to his weakspot. Standard stuff, I suppose.

Fish_waffle64 has another method for us to employ now. Cut the boss down and then dump a bottle of spring water on him. He dies right there.

What in the what?!

The downside? That water is actually part of a side quest that rewards players with a piece of heart. Down the boss straight away or get your heart piece later on. Or, you know, beat it normally. None of the bosses in Wind Waker are all that tough, after all.

Still, this is amazing.
