Buy a Google Pixel from Best Buy and get some free goodies

You might want to consider buying your Google Pixel from Best Buy. The retailer recently launched a promotion that tosses in a new Chromecast and a $100 Best Buy Gift Card. There’s just a tiny catch.

You can’t just order any ol’ Google Pixel from Best Buy, like the unlocked model that’s most appealing to us hardcore users. Instead, you need to pre-order, purchase and actually activate the device on Verizon in order to walk away with the goods. Also, this isn’t the new Chromecast Ultra that supports HDR and 4K, it’s the 2015 model that retails for about $30.

The $100 gift card is compelling for sure, and this is a worthy deal for anyone who’s going to buy the phone for Verizon anyway. Me? I’d take Google up on its free Daydream VR headset.

Best Buy hasn’t published the deal, first spotted by Android Central, to its site just yet. Keep your eyes peeled for when it does.
