Pokémon Sun & Moon Starter Evolutions revealed! Ash-Greninja announced

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have revealed the first evolutions of the three starter Pokémon in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

These are the second stages of, as we of course assume, three forms for our Starters. They look, well, okay in my book. Nothing too fancy, but these middle forms are always the ones I tend to remember least over the years.

You can see it all go down in the video and gallery above. Rowlet becomes the Grass/Flying-type Dartrix, Litten becomes the Fire-type Torracat and Popplio becomes the Water-type Brionne.

There’s more news, too. The demo version Pokémon Sun and Moon will give players access to Ash-Greninja, a new version of the evolution of one of the starters from and Y. Those who play the demo can transfer Ash-Greninja to the full game once it releases. This new Pokémon uses the brand new Battle Bond feature.

Greninja that can become Ash-Greninja have an Ability that no Pokémon has ever had before—Battle Bond. The Battle Bond Ability triggers this Pokémon’s form change to Ash-Greninja after it causes an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. When the battle ends, the Pokémon returns to its original Greninja form. This form is only for battles where it needs to break the limits!

Pokémon Sun and Moon will sell on November 18, 2016. The demo will be available on October 18.
