Elon Musk recently unveiled the SpaceX Interplanetary Transport System. The goal of that system is to shuffle humans to Mars for $200,000 a pop and, to one day, colonize the planet. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk doesn’t want to go along for the ride, though.

Asked if he’d personally take the t rip, he replied: “I don’t think so. I’m not really sure. I’d have to have a really good succession plan because the likelihood of death is very high,” according to Business Insider. “The first journey to Mars is going to be really very dangerous. The risk of fatality will be high. There’s just no way around it.” Musk added that he wants to see his kids grow up.

I’m with Musk, I don’t have any desire to travel to Mars, either. Kinda strange to think about it, though. SpaceX wants to send folks to another planet, but the CEO doesn’t even want to go.
